I’m a bit poorly  today and it’s a very s****y day! What do you humans say when it rains a lot?  Oh yes! ‘It’s raining cats and dogs.’  Well.. I don’t know about the dog bit but it would make my Mum very happy if those nasty feral cats who kill the birds in our garden and leave their dead bodies lying about all over the place – were washed away by the rain!   Anyway, I didn’t fancy getting cold and soaked today  (I do have a rainproof jacket but it doesn’t protect my nether regions) so I made out I was sicker than I really was – a few pathetic whines and groans did the trick … I got lots of cuddles and tummy rubs and Mum decided that it would be garden breaks instead of the usual 3 mile walk.  Mind you, garden-breaks in our house aren’t that short – too often Mum gets distracted by what’s going on (or at this time of the year – what’s not going on) in the garden.

Things got a bit out of hand this afternoon – we were outside for ages – fussing over something called a Winter Virbirnum!  I was having a good sniff around the walls – just to check out who’d been encroaching on my territory – when Mum took off across the lawn to look at some tall sticks sprouting out of the flower bed. She then dashed back inside the house, got her iphone and took photos – turns out that the sticks are a shrub that flowers on bare branches.  Come to think  about it – I’ve raised my leg against them off and on so I had to take a closer look- sure enough lots of little pink flowers and no leaves. My pee didn’t do it any harm then.  Don’t tell Mum though – she doesn’t like me doing it.

We rescued him 6 years ago – he came with his name – we liked so much that we kept it. He kind of rules the house now 🤗
